The Global Passive House Happy Hour is held Wednesdays at 4 pm (Pacific), 7 pm (Eastern), midnight (British), and 11 am (Thursdays, Australian Eastern). Join us 30 minutes early for pre-show networking and stick around following the main event for our After Hour!
Architect Dennis Wedlick, founder of BarlisWedlick Architects (formerly Dennis Wedlick Architect), is known for his rural custom homes that seek exquisite design and that center sustainability. Dennis began his architecture career apprenticing under master architect Phillip Johnson for 12 years before opening his own firm.
Since his first Passive House build in 2011, Dennis has explored the power of Passive House to mitigate energy poverty in rural communities. At the Happy Hour on February 17, Dennis will share three case studies from the Rural Build initiative that showcase how Passive House can provide energy security in rural housing. Join us to learn about the Hudson Passive Project, New York’s first Passive House-certified structure, and two iterations of Passive House-certified Habitat for Humanity homes.
And if you haven’t listened already, learn about Dennis’ work in Passive House and energy poverty in Episode 23 of the Passive House Podcast.
