Glavel’s manufacturing to go 100% renewable energy by summer 2020

Glavel made a big announcement on Friday at the Passive House Canada conference in Toronto. Its manufacturing will transition to 100% renewable energy in summer 2020, dramatically slashing the embodied carbon emissions from the product. View the announcement by Rob Conboy, Glavel’s CEO, here:
Congratulations to Rob and to Glavel for taking this important step. Glavel’s foam glass gravel comes from recycled municipal glass waste, so it already has some serious sustainability street cred. This move away from fossil fuel-powered production to 100% renewables really takes things to the next level.
