Green Building United announced that their 2020 Sustainability Symposium will take place Thursday, October 22, and Friday, October 23. The two-day will center on cutting edge green building and sustainability topics, as well as industry best practices. Sessions will be led by thought leaders from throughout the building industry and beyond, who will discuss their current work; opportunities for social, environmental, and economic impact; and challenges ahead in the sustainability field.
Passive House design will not be the focus of the event. However, members of the Passive House community may be interested in attending because most sessions will speak to social justice and environmental issues, as well as items that are of a concern for professionals in the high-performance building industry—particularly embodied carbon and how to better manage construction waste.
