Innotech Windows + Doors Becomes Patron Sponsor of Passive House Accelerator

January 19, 2021

Innotech Windows + Doors is kicking off the new year as a new Patron Sponsor of Passive House Accelerator. The Canadian manufacturer of high-performance windows and doors is the latest organization to join North America’s fastest-growing collaborative online platform dedicated to zero carbon design and construction.

Founded in 2001, Innotech manufactures a range of high-performance windows and doors, including PHI Certified Components and PHIUS Verified Windows. All their windows and doors are tested to the required North American standards, including NAFS and NFRC, and manufactured at their state-of-the-art facility in Langley, British Columbia.

Innotech products are specified for a highly sustainable and durable single-family, low to high-rise multi-family and commercial projects. Over the course of two decades, they have continuously refined their products through ongoing research and development, third-party, in-house, and on-site testing and the experience gathered from installing windows and doors in thousands of projects in North America, including extreme cold climates such as Alaska and Manitoba.

The new Defender 88PH+ Window System is currently undergoing PHI Certification. Now available for Spring 2021 delivery.

In a construction industry that has traditionally valued low-cost and low-quality building materials, Innotech has always stood by its commitment to only manufacture windows and doors that have far exceeded building code requirements – even if that meant sacrificing more profits or a larger market share. “When we started, it’s fair to say that not many people, and certainly no building codes, recognized the need for better windows and doors,” says Troy Imbery, president of Innotech Windows + Doors. “The market for high-performance fenestration products barely existed.”

Fast forward twenty years and the playing field looks much different. “We have experienced the high-performance building industry grow from a tiny niche market to one that is soon to take over traditional construction,” says Imbery. “And platforms such as Passive House Accelerator are bringing together the leaders who will further propel this important transformation. We’re excited to continue to learn from these industry leaders.”

Innotech is currently in the process of certifying three new systems with the Passive House Institute. Stay tuned for exciting new product launches from Innotech!
