The Global Passive House Happy Hour is held Wednesday at 4 pm (Pacific), 7 pm (Eastern), midnight (British), and 9 am (Thursday, Australian Eastern). Join us 30 minutes early for pre-show networking or stick around following the main event four After Hour!

Last October, in those halcyon, pre-Covid days of international travel and in-person conferences, Passive House Institute held its 23rd International Passive House Conference in Gaobeidian, China. PHI’s choice of this locale was no accident, of course. Gaobeidian’s Passive House district boasts no fewer than 330,000 square meters (3,552,100 square feet) of certified Passive House buildings—8 high rises, 12 multifamily buildings, and 6 villas—a figure that rivals the total square footage of all Passive House projects built in North America to date. China has emerged as a global leader in Passive House construction, with major projects built or underway across the vast nation.

Wei Kuang of Passive House Institute will share highlights from the wave of Passive House development underway in China at our Global Passive House Happy Hour this Wednesday, July 22. His presentation will build upon that day’s NAPHN Passive House 2020 conference panel: “China Goes Passive House.” At our Happy Hour, Kuang will share three residential projects (2 settlements and 1 twin tower), two kindergartens, and one vernacular building renovation.

Don’t miss this chance to learn about the Passive House energy and momentum barreling forward in China today, plus a chance for lots of (virtual) face-to-face interaction with Wei Kuan and others experts and peers at the Happy Hour. Register here.
