"Passive House Takes a Village": Sangeetha Sambandam to Headline Wednesday's PH Happy Hour (8/5)

The Global Passive House Happy Hour is held Wednesday at 4 pm (Pacific), 7 pm (Eastern), midnight (British), and 9 am (Thursday, Australian Eastern). Join us 30 minutes early for pre-show networking or stick around following the main event four After Hour!

In honor of the New Gravity Housing Conference that kicks off next Wednesday (August 5), we will host conference presenter Sangeetha Sambandam of WRT for our Global Passive House Happy Hour that evening. We could not be more excited to have Sangeetha join us for her presentation, “Passive House Takes a Village: Village at Park River, a multiphase, multifamily affordable housing project transforming a neighborhood in Hartford, Connecticut.”

Her project, funded in part by Connecticut’s LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) program with its incentive for Passive House affordable housing projects, will build 260units across four phases, alternating between PHI and PHIUS certifications:

  • Phase 1: 75 units – will be completed this fall – will be certified to PHI
  • Phase 2: 60 units – will be completed next year – will be certified to PHIUS+ 2015
  • Phase 3: 65 units – will break ground this fall – will be certified to PHI
  • Phase 4: 60 units – will be submitting for tax credits this fall – TBD: PHIUS+ 2018 or PHI
