The Global Passive House Happy Hour is held Wednesdays at 4 pm (Pacific), 7 pm (Eastern), midnight (British), and 10 am (Thursdays, Australian Eastern). Join us 30 minutes early for pre-show networking and stick around following the main event for our After Hour!

For this tonight’s (October 21st) Global Passive House Happy Hour, we are excited to welcome architect and CLT (cross laminated timber) champion Susan Jones as guest presenter. Jones’ presentation at the Happy Hour will play double duty, also serving as the keynote address to kick off passivhausMAINE’s Fall Forum, two thoughtfully-curated afternoons (Eastern time) of world-class Passive House and zero carbon building content on Thursday and Friday, October 22 and 23.

At her Happy Hour presentation, Jones will draw connections between the carbon-sequestering power of wood-based construction materials and Maine’s forest economy, pointing to the potential for buildings to deliver on zero carbon goals and help the state meet Paris-aligned climate goals. Jones’ fast, factual, and fun presentation—plus the lively Q&A discussion that will follow—should be the perfect table-setting for the Fall Forum’s programming on Thursday and Friday, organized into three tracks, centered on Zero Carbon, Retrofits, and Students.

Join us tonight to dive into the role of forests and buildings in reaching Zero Carbon as we kick off passivhausMAINE’s Fall Forum.
