This Week's Building Conversations Will Focus on the Clayton Community Centre

You’re going to want to clear your schedule for this week’s Building Conversations with Passive House Canada CEO Chris Ballard. If you haven’t had the opportunity to virtually drop in on the weekly webinar, which has been hosting leading voices from the Passive House community every week since mid-April, you can check out the past shows here and freely register for this Wednesday’s show at noon EDT here.

For the fifth installment, Chris will welcome:

  • Melissa Higgs: Principal of HCMA Architecture + Design
  • Scott Groves: Director, Strategic & Capital Projects, City of Coquitlam
  • Stuart Hood: Mechanical Engineer and Regional Director, Integral Group

The three are some key figures behind the Clayton Community Centre, a complex and technically demanding Passive House project in the B.C. city of Surrey. The four will talk about municipal government interactions and city policy, as well as the architectural and mechanical details of this very challenging project. Additionally, there will be a short video of the project that Passive House Canada produced (and B.C. Hydro funded).
