Albermarle Road Retrofit

This 83 unit, 6 story brick co-op building in Brooklyn was built in 1938. A corner apartment was renovated to Passive House standards to serve as a model for future renovations in the building.

Park Slope Passive House Retrofit

This late Romanesque Revival rowhouse located in the Park Slope Historic District has beautiful architectural detailing throughout including ornamental plaster ceilings, stained glass windows and skylight, original wood millwork, inlay tiled fireplace hearths, and an historic ice box.

State Street Passive House

This four-story brick townhouse was gut renovated and expanded with a three-story addition in the back, built using insulated concrete forms.

This brownstone masonry rowhouse retrofit on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is currently in construction and is on target for EnerPHit Certification.

Windsor Terrace Passive House

The townhouse’s original street-facing brick wall was overlaid with faux-stone stucco in the mid-20th century. An exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) was applied over the exterior facade. The missing cornice was reconstructed using EIFS as well. The back facade was rebuilt using concrete masonry units with both exterior and interior insulation.
