The Global Passive House Happy Hour is held Wednesdays at 4 pm (Pacific), 7 pm (Eastern), midnight (British), and 11 am (Thursdays, Australian Eastern). Join us 30 minutes early for pre-show networking and stick around following the main event for our After Hour!
This Wednesday, November 4, we feature an important, globally-significant project: the Stepwise Tower Retrofit in Ontario, Canada. Jennifer Hogan of Pretium, the consulting engineers on the project, will describe the phased EnerPHit Passive House retrofit of this 20-story, 1970s multifamily building, and how the team is accomplishing it all with residents in place. For a sneak preview, read Andrew Peel’s excellent feature on the project from the Spring/Summer 2020 issue of Passive House Buildings Magazine.
Join us November 4 at the Global Passive House Happy Hour to learn about this example of whole building transformation and equitable access to Passive House living. What could be better for a post-US election gathering of the Passive House community?
About Our Global Passive House Happy Hours
Fast. Factual. Fun. These open, FREE gatherings are a (virtual) place for the global Passive House community—and anyone interested in low-carbon building design—to come together, hear from the world’s top practitioners, and meet one another. They’re fast-paced, high-energy, and habit-forming. They are also open to all, regardless of geography, profession, experience level, or favorite certification type. Come drink in some Passive House knowledge and camaraderie.
On December 2, RIBA will host a book launch event for the new book, “EnerPHit: a Step by Step Guide to Low Energy Retrofit”, written by James Traynor.
