Join us at the first Passive House Accelerator Construction Tech Tuesday of the New Year (January 5) as we team up with Alex Hebert, Zero Energy/Emissions Building Manager at British Columbia’s Institute of Technology. We all know that we should build a mockup for our first high performance project, but what does one look like, and which details need to be shown? At this Tech Tuesday, we’ll review the various mockups that are on display at BCIT and provide you with tips on how to get started with your own.

BCIT created the Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) Learning Centre as a learning laboratory to help the construction industry transition to the latest energy efficient building codes, such as the Province of British Columbia’s Energy Step Code as well as the City of Vancouver’s Zero Emissions Building bylaws. Cohost Shaun St-Amour will join Alex on location to review some of the unique features of this world class lab and show off the technical, the technique, and the technology of high performance building that is explored there.

We hope to see you on January 5 to kick-off Construction Tech Tuesdays for 2021.

NOTE: Check out BCIT how to build a mock-up guidehere. They will also be offering a course starting January 21.
