European Architectural Supply Is Now a Champion Sponsor of the Accelerator

European Architectural Supply (EAS) has become the latest Champion Sponsor of Passive House Accelerator! Based in Littleton, Mass., a suburb of Boston, the firm has been a leading supplier of high-performance European windows in New England and throughout North America for over 20 years. They have worked on a wide range of projects from small residential project to large commercial developments . Their custom tilt and turn windows are manufactured in Central Europe and combine contemporary aesthetics and functionality with exceptional performance. By working with EAS, design teams can meet even the most rigorous performance metrics, including those set by the Passive House Institute and Phius.

EAS works with architects and designers to meet their specifications with German fenestration systems from manufacturers like Makrowin, Schüco, Salamander, Cortizo, Aluplast and Aluprof. Representatives from EAS work directly with design teams or on a one-on-one basis with designers, offering them guidance to better incorporate products into the design of the building and advice about the unique characteristics of different glazing and cladding options. To better collaborate with designers and architects, EAS documents all their work with print and electronic shop drawings. Collaborating in CAD enables architects to incorporate their products into the designs with a greater degree of accuracy, resulting in clear and precise drawings that can be shared with building contractors.

EAS also works directly with GCs to assist with installations and to answer any questions that may come up on the job site. To ensure solid communication, a specific representative from EAS is assigned to each project and is always available to respond to questions. EAS is one of the very few windows companies that offer in-house trucking/delivery and window installation services for both residential and commercial construction projects.

“Over the past 22 years, EAS has grown from a small-scale importer of windows into a mature construction materials supply company with over 25 full-time employees," said European Architectural Supply President Patrik Muzila. "We have been at the forefront of the Passive House movement and are excited about our future growth as the high-performance building principles become adopted by the wider industry.”

“We are really excited to partner with European Architectural Supply,” said Passive House Accelerator Founder Michael Ingui. “They have a really long history of supporting high-performance projects in North America, and they bring a tremendous amount of expertise to the Accelerator community.”

Passive House Accelerator Director Zack Semke echoed Ingui’s sentiments, adding, “European Architectural Supply was involved in some of the first Passive House projects in the United States. Over the years, they’ve learned how to collaborate with design teams and GCs who are new to passive principles, and that kind of real-world experience is crucial for getting more people to adopt high-performance building methodologies.”
