This special episode of Passive House Accelerator LIVE! invites you to rethink the way we talk about sustainability. Everyone is talking about abundance these days—but how much do we really need? How do we use less stuff? Join us for a collaborative conversation exploring the SER framework (Sufficiency, Efficiency, Renewables) and why “using less stuff” should be a core design priority and guiding principle. Our speaker, Lloyd Alter, has been an architect, real estate developer, prefab proselytizer, and writer. He teaches Sustainable Design at Toronto Metropolitan University and has contributed to publications including The Guardian, Green Building Advisor, Corporate Knights, and Azure Magazine. He was also a contributor and editor at Treehugger.com for 15 years. Lloyd is the author of Living the 1.5 Degree Lifestyle (New Society Publishers), and his new book, The Story of Upfront Carbon, examines the carbon emitted in the creation of everything in our lives—from iPhones to hamburgers (and yes, buildings).
