Glavel Saxon Hill: A Fully Operational Foam Glass Plant

BURLINGTON, VERMONT - Glavel, Inc., a long time supporter of the Passive House Accelerator is incredibly excited to announce production of foam glass gravel out of the Saxon Hill Plant in Essex VT. This kiln is the first of its kind in North America, being electrified and powered by nearly carbon free energy. Vertical integration of glass processing will begin in late 2022. The plant has created 14 jobs, with additional hires to come.

Over the course of the next two weeks, Glavel’s operations team will be commissioning products, training plant staff, and testing material specifications. Saleable product is anticipated to be ready by March 1, 2022.
