Gradient Becomes Champion Sponsor of the Accelerator

We’re very excited to announce that Gradient has become the latest Champion Sponsor of Passive House Accelerator. Gradient’s first-of-its-kind window heat pump unit can be installed in 15 minutes without the need to hire an electrician or professional HVAC technician. Moreover, installation of the 100% electrical system can be done without the need to obtain a permit or even use a drill, so there’s no concern about disturbing mold, asbestos, or lead paint in older buildings.

Founded in 2017, Gradient’s products are propelling building electrification and decarbonization. They’ve partnered with the New York City Housing Authority to provide more than 10,000 units to families in NYCHA housing, as well as with Brooklyn-based BlocPower to electrify the heating and cooling systems of multifamily homes across the country.

Their system has been named one of TIME’s best inventions of 2022, a Fast Company 2022 World Changing Idea, and a winner of the House Beautiful Live Better Awards 2022.
