PHA Next Gen Rectangle 121323

Nakita Reed, Senior Associate at Quinn Evans Architects, is our featured speaker for our December Next Gen session, sharing insights into The Compound Rowhouse project in Baltimore, Maryland. This groundbreaking project involves the transformation of four dilapidated row homes into two cutting-edge communal residential units, becoming the first Phius certified project in Maryland.

The retrofit not only preserves the authentic charm of the existing historic buildings but also significantly enhances interior insulation and efficiency. During the session, Nakita will explore the critical aspects of the project, emphasizing the importance of meticulous detailing, overcoming challenges related to adding a third floor, incorporating an innovative exterior cork product, and the valuable lessons learned throughout the transformative process.
