Sheri Koones's Prefabulous for Everyone Showcases Prefab Homes Across North America

Author and journalist Sheri Koones is releasing a new book on prefab homes entitled, Prefabulous for Everyone. Set to be released April 18, 2023, Prefabulous for Everyone features several prefab homes from across North America. These projects range from large to small, modest to luxurious, and incorporate a variety of building modalities and design methodologies, including Passive House.

Koones’s previous books—including Bigger Than Tiny, Smaller Than Average (Gibbs Smith, 2022) and Downsize: Living Large in a Small House (Taunton Press, 2019)—have focused primarily on the benefits of smaller homes. However, the new book from the veteran writer who has been featured in AOL Real Estate, Smart Homeowner, Builder, and Forbes.com, shows that prefabricated housing is a practical solution to address the housing shortage because these homes can be built quickly and inexpensively. Moreover, many of the prefab homes from the book perform as well as or even better than site-built homes.
