Tickets for the 28th International Passive House Conference are now available! Running April 24-25, 2026, the conference will take place in the German city of Essen and be held in the House of Technology (Haus der Technik). Discounts for early birds are available through January 15!
The conference regularly brings together hundreds of the world’s leading building scientists, as well as innovators and luminaries from the world of design and construction. The 28th IPHC will include illuminating presentations, interactive workshops, and inspiring building tours. Tours will take place on Sunday, April 26. Additionally, the conference offers a wide range of networking opportunities where attendees can share experiences and learn from one another. The conference will also be accompanied by the Passive House Exhibition, which features numerous leading manufacturers of high-quality Passive House components.
As indicated by the conference’s motto, “Driving Transformation with Energy Efficiency!”, the 28th IPHC will showcase projects, building components, and individuals who are finding novel ways to fundamentally change the built environment, making it healthier, more comfortable, and (of course) more efficient. Subjects will include retrofits, affordability, reducing embodied carbon, and more!
This year is also special because it is 30th anniversary of the Passive House Institute and the 35th birthday of the first Passive House in Darmstadt-Kranichstein, so there will be a major celebration Friday night. Come celebrate 30 years of PHI and raise a glass to 30 more!
