Passive House certification can serve as a launchpad for achieving additional green building certifications such as LEED, Zero Energy, Zero Carbon, Living Building Challenge, Fitwel, and WELL. To support this, PHI and Phius have developed “crosswalks” that align Passive House with other frameworks, making it easier to pursue multiple certifications in parallel.
This 101 Session will explore key features of major certification programs and offer guidance on how to align project goals to maximize impact through certification stacking.

Mike, a Sustainability Integration Leader and Associate Principal, focuses on energy codes, decarbonization, and occupant health, with projects that have achieved LEED Platinum, Living Building Challenge Petal, Passive House, and Zero Energy certifications.
