Event presented by Reimagine Buildings Collective
Friday, June 12th from 12pm-1pm eastern (Virtual)
Why does Passive House make sense? Shane Pollin and David Komet have spent decades designing, building, and advocating for high-performance buildings. They’ll discuss engaging stakeholders and, hint: the conversation is often less about idealism than many people think.
In this AMA, Shane and David share how they've made the case to partners who hold the purse strings: what lands, what falls flat, and how to frame performance in terms investors care about. They'll be joined by fellow developers Jesse Hunt and Matt Soltys for the discussion.
Shane is a Washington, D.C.-based real estate developer, building science expert, and sustainable construction leader. He serves as the founder and principal of PS Ventures, a development firm recognized for building highly durable, energy-efficient, and functional projects across a broad range of real estate sectors.
David is a San Antonio-based real estate developer, investment manager, and sustainable building pioneer. He serves as the founder of Urban Earth, a project management and development firm recognized for leading the high-performance design behind the Texas Pickle Hall sports facilities.
