Bio-Based Materials Collective Summit

oin harvesters, manufacturers, designers, builders, developers, educators, policymakers, and other stewards of the built environment for an inspirational gathering in Vermont, where we’ll examine global systems through a local lens, and grow the movement to a plant-based future.

Agenda

You are welcome to attend either or both of the days of the summit.

Day 1 – Monday May 12th

Trace the route of bio-based materials through Chittenden County, Vermont; from the fields where they’re grown, to the manufacturers that shape them into products, and the buildings they become. Bus transportation from Burlington, and lunch at a local farm are included. Capacity is limited to 50 attendees on Monday.

Day 2 – Tuesday May 13th

Turn energy into outcomes at Main Street Landing, a beautiful venue on the Burlington waterfront. In the morning we will gather to share and discuss recent stories from our practices. In the afternoon develop strategies to address the challenges of scaling bio-based materials; focusing on the local Vermont ecosystem, which can act as a template for bioregions across North America. Coffee, donuts, and lunch from local businesses are included. Summit activities will conclude at 5pm.
