Elevating Fire Resilient Design with Passive House Principles

ph component spotlight elevating fire

As we see an increase of extreme climate events and extreme conditions in general, passive house principles go hand in hand with the resiliency of buildings and one of the key principles is fire mitigation efforts.

This Component Spotlight presentation with ROCKWOOL will examine the fire properties of products used in the built environment and the fire resistance and performance of assemblies. We will connect use of stone wool insulation in the built environment as a thermal and acoustic barrier to it’s fire resilient properties in assemblies. We will conclude with a short overview of the key principals of designing buildings in WUI areas (and areas of increased risk of fire) and how those principals relate to passive house construction.

This free presentation will take place on Thursday, January 25th at 9am PT / 12pm ET and will be followed by a lively Q+A session. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a manufacturing leader and engage with the PHA community. Register today!
