Event presented by Reimagine Buildings Collective
Tuesday, September 1st from 12pm-1:30pm eastern (Virtual)
We started the Summer Sessions with Tomás O’Leary. Let’s bring it full circle.
This summer, we’ve explored the challenges and opportunities shaping high-performance building from a range of perspectives. Now, we’re closing things out by reflecting on what we’ve learned this summer and looking across the Atlantic.
With the ZEB Summit coming up in Ireland, Tomás will preview the conference, highlighting the speakers and conversations on the program, plus the projects and tours showcasing some of Ireland’s most interesting high-performance buildings.
Tomás has spent decades advancing Passive House and zero-energy building in Ireland and around the world, training hundreds of certified Passive House designers and consultants along the way.
A fitting close to the summer: what we’ve learned, what’s happening globally, and what’s next.
About Tomás O'Leary, Managing Director of Mosart
Tomás has been in the business of sustainability since 1993, operating mostly from Ireland, the US, and the UK. He designed and lives in the first Certified Passive House in the English-speaking world (2004), and is a PHI-accredited Passive House Building Certifier, Passive House Trainer and Exam Host, operating globally.
He's a passionate advocate for high-performance buildings, a presenter at international conferences, and host of online jargon-free educational videos on building science. Mosart currently has over 12,000 Passive House dwellings on-site as well as multiple non-residential projects including leisure centers, offices, schools and libraries. Its first flagship large-scale project in the US was Cornell Tech's student dorm on Rosevelt Island for which it was the Certifier.
