Rethinking Domestic Hot Water: Introducing Reservoir Home

reservoir component spotlight

Domestic hot water is quickly becoming one of the biggest pressure points in high-performance buildings. As projects electrify and teams push toward lower carbon, resilience, and better occupant outcomes, DHW systems are revealing new layers of complexity around peak demand, storage, controls, and reliability.

Most practitioners know the problem. Few have seen what the next generation of solutions actually looks like.

Join us for an insider, practitioner-focused deep dive into the future of domestic hot water with Luke Winston-Almanzar, founder of Reservoir Home. More than a product introduction, this session offers a technical exploration of how emerging approaches are responding to the real challenges teams face in electrified, high-performance buildings.

Designed for architects, builders, engineers, and developers, this Component Spotlight focuses on real-world problem solving, lessons from early deployments, and what teams should be watching as DHW systems evolve.

What we’ll explore:

The DHW Problem Today
• Why domestic hot water matters more than most teams realize
• Where traditional systems struggle, from peak loads to controls

A New Approach: Intelligence + Heat Pump Integration
• How smarter systems are redefining expectations for DHW
• Where Reservoir fits within the shift toward fully electrified buildings

Inside the Pilot Phase: Lessons from the Field
• Why Boston is first and what early deployments are revealing
• Key insights, surprises, and what to watch as rollout expands

Attendees will also be invited to join Reservoir’s Early Access Practitioner Advisory List, offering a behind-the-scenes view into the pilot rollout and an opportunity to help shape future development.
