Passive House Podcast Ep 71: Amy Tankard, Passive House Institute New Zealand

Matthew interviews Amy Tankard, the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Te Tōpūtanga o te Whare Korou ki Aotearoa - Passive House Institute NZ.

Passive House Podcast cohost Matthew Cutler-Welsh interviews Amy Tankard, the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Te Tōpūtanga o te Whare Korou ki Aotearoa - Passive House Institute NZ. Coming from a background of management and HR, the appointment of Amy by the board of PHINZ marked a concerted effort to consolidate the growth of Passive House in Aotearoa New Zealand. Like many affiliate organizations around the world, PHINZ began as a small group of passionate volunteers and has evolved into an important entity leading Passive House education and advocacy. As CEO, Amy plays a crucial role in maintaining and growing PHINZ.

Amy is getting her own first-hand experience of Passive House, building a family home in Waihi, two hours from Auckland. Matthew discussed this project and why they chose to use prefabricated panels from the South Island to build a Passive House in the North Island.

Cohost Zack Semke shares upcoming events at the end of the episode. Links can be found here: https://passivehouseaccelerator.com/articles/passive-house-week-in-preview-january-24
