Introducing Reimagine Buildings ‘24: One Planet. 24 Hours. Online Around the World, March 7-8, 2024.

After months of work behind the scenes here at Passive House Accelerator we’re excited to share a big, new, one-of-a-kind project—one that we hope you’ll be part of.

Announcing the 24-hour, around-the-world, global online happening: Reimagine Buildings ’24.

At RB24 we’ll circumnavigate the globe, unveiling a new, innovative building project every hour, complete with actionable solution sets, expert insights, and key lessons-learned. You’ll connect with peers from around the world and from your region, building the network you need to create buildings that make a difference. 

We'll highlight the global movement that is reimaging buildings as resilient and healthy havens. Through TED Talk-esque presentations, speakers will explore the deep energy efficiency, low-embodied carbon and carbon sequestering materials, building electrification, and clean energy solutions that make up the key ingredients in our collective effort to transform buildings from a big climate problem to a powerful climate solution. 

RB24 will kick-off at noon Eastern Time, March 7, 2024, starting with the Americas. As the sun travels, we shift focus: New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe, UK, the Middle East, Africa, and circling back to the Americas by March 8 (International Women’s Day). In each set of time zones we’ll share both local and global examples of exemplary buildings and solution making.

A virtual exhibit hall of high performance building product exhibitors will be a click away, including Bewiso, Gradient, Ikon Windows + Doors, Innotech Windows + Doors, Intelligent Membranes, Minotair, Vetta Windows, and Zola Windows, and we're continually adding more manufacturers every day. Engage directly with these manufacturing leaders through interactive product workshops, gaining valuable insights and firsthand knowledge about the latest innovations in high-performance building solutions.

And it won’t just be digital! Worldwide, local in-person events and open houses are on the horizon, hosted by prominent leaders and organizations: our RB24 Community Partners.

What is Reimagine Buildings ’24, exactly? It’s a global online conference. It’s a global community-building event that reaches beyond the boundaries of Passive House to embrace Living Buildings, WELL buildings, and the diverse approaches to creating clean and resilient buildings. It’s a global festival that builds on our collective momentum to accelerate progress.

Do I have to stay up for 24 hours? No, you sure don’t! Rest assured that you’ll have live access during your time zone’s waking hours to a mix of top level regional and global presentations and networking. Just attend RB24 live for the hours that are convenient for you and view any sessions you missed on-demand.

We all know that time is of the essence, that climate change is already here, and that today too many of our buildings are not only making the problem worse but also leave us vulnerable to climate extremes that are already here.

But we also know that’s changing. A global movement is turning it around—tradespeople, builders, architects, engineers, developers, policymakers, and a just regular people making it happen on the ground on every continent of our beautiful planet.

Reimagine Buildings ‘24 is a production of Passive House Accelerator, LLC. We formed in 2020 and function as a platform for media and education, accelerating progress toward zero carbon buildings. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to our Community Partners to support their work on building decarbonization around the world. The remainder will cover event expenses and will be reinvested into producing our year-round free programming.
