About Passive House Accelerator:

Buildings are currently responsible for 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Our aim is to change that and to transform buildings from being part of the climate problem to being part of climate solution-making and climate justice. We want to ensure that healthy, ultra-efficient Passive House buildings are available to all. We’re a hub for sharing innovation and thought leadership in high performance building design and construction, and we’re looking for a Coordinator/Event Producer to join us as we take our weekly programming and digital platforms (website, podcast, video, social media, etc.) to the next level.

About the Coordinator/Event Producer position:

This contract position is full-time and can be performed anywhere with a good internet connection. (Our main hubs are Seattle and New York, but the location of this position is flexible). A college degree is preferred, but not required. Two years of relevant experience is required. We’re looking for a highly organized and energetic self-starter. The position will work directly with Passive House Accelerator’s director, Zack Semke as well as our team of staff and event co-hosts. We’re committed to DEI in our work and in our hiring practices.

Job duties will include: speaker recruitment and scheduling; Zoom meeting production; preparation of event listings and social media announcements; community calendar updating; enewsletter production; website maintenance; and other coordination and production tasks to support the Accelerator’s work. Simple podcast and video editing might also be added to the position’s duties, if the right fit.

Skills necessary for the position: superb organizational skills; strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with rolling deadlines; strong people skills; proficiency with social media.

Software and platform – proficiency required: Photoshop, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Zoom, Mailchimp, Youtube, Hootsuite, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Statamic or Wordpress, Trello.

Software and platforms – proficiency useful: Adobe Audition or similar, Final Cut Pro or iMovie.
