We're Hiring a Project Coordinator/Online Community Manager

We are an established and rapidly-growing community and media startup dedicated to accelerating the transition to healthy, zero carbon buildings.
Together we can grow and empower the community of building practitioners and advocates that is transforming our buildings from being a major climate change problem (responsible for 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions) to being a major climate change solution (slashing greenhouse gas emissions and creating resilient havens of health and safety).
ABOUT THE PROJECT COORDINATOR/ONLINE COMMUNITY MANAGER POSITION
This full-time position can be performed anywhere with a good internet connection. (Our main hubs are Seattle and New York, but the location of this position is flexible). A college degree and two years of relevant experience is preferred. We’re looking for a highly organized and energetic self-starter. The position will work directly with Passive House Accelerator’s director as well as our team of staff and event co-hosts. We’re committed to DEI in our work and in our hiring practices.
Job duties will include: speaker recruitment and scheduling; Zoom meeting production and virtual stage-management; audience development; preparation of event listings and social media announcements; community calendar updating; enewsletter production; website maintenance; and other coordination and production tasks to support the Accelerator’s work.
Skills necessary for the position: superb organizational and computer skills; strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with rolling deadlines; strong people skills; proficiency with social media; commitment to climate action.
Software and platforms: Photoshop (or similar), Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Zoom, Mailchimp, Youtube, Hootsuite, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Statamic or Wordpress, Trello.

Passive House Accelerator is a catalyst for zero carbon building. We cultivate a collaborative online platform for sharing innovation and thought leadership in Passive House design and construction. We convene practitioners, institutions, manufacturers, and anyone concerned about buildings and climate change to dive into the details of creating better buildings. We work to accelerate both solution-making and solution-makers in the zero carbon building movement. We are a place for Passive House and zero carbon building people and organizations to come together, share lessons learned, dream up cool new ideas, and try them out. While the challenge of climate change is daunting and time is short, we are driven by optimism and conviction that a rapid and equitable transformation to zero carbon buildings can happen when we share and learn from one another.
