WEDS: Northern Liberties Passive Rowhouse

Lauren Thomsen and Matt Gindlesparger, (Lauren Thomsen Design) and Ralph Loielo and John Roderick, (Scribe Design Build) join the Accelerator to discuss challenges and opportunities that have risen during the design and construction of a new construction single family passive rowhouse project on a very small infill lot in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The project is Pre-Certified for PHIUS+ 2018 (Passive House) certification, and will ultimately be net zero capable, thanks to a solar array that will be located on the roof. We will be joined by Kit Elsworth, Building Performance Specialist at KieranTimberlake as Guest Host. Get the Zoom link

While the two may draw comparisons because of their heights, developer Millennium Partners Boston (MP Boston) anticipates that Winthrop Center will be recognized not only as a new peak along the city’s skyline, but as a beacon of building excellence and environmental sustainability. PhiusCon 2021 created a wave of momentum, and Phius is looking to carry that into PhiusCon 2022 as it builds for the future.
