1. PHA Live Event
A Bio-Based Approach to Multifamily in Philadelphia
Amanda Bonelli will join our November Next Gen session to present Bright Common’s bio-based approach to a multi-family, mixed-use project in Philadelphia with a low-embodied carbon focus. She will discuss how the design team evolved their thinking and processes surrounding high-performance design in a post 2020 landscape. The presentation will highlight the challenges of marrying owner’s project goals, sustainability goals, and material availability in a fluctuating design and construction market.
Amanda is an Associate at Bright Common. Her work focuses on resiliency and social equity in urban environments, ranging from deep-energy retrofits and scattered site affordable housing projects, to prefabricated Passive Houses and mixed-use urban infill work. As the leader of Bright Common’s carbon accounting operations, Amanda is dedicated to the evolving discussion of sustainability in the built environment.
