A photo from our #passivehouse from today with NO heating in the house. It is -5C outside with snow, but sunny. It was -15C during the night. The thermometer reads 20C 😎 Passive house works! pic.twitter.com/DX7T924G8V
Brussels, Belgium has built 15 million square feet of passive house space in less than 5 years. Passive house will lower the amount of energy use for heating and cooling by 50-70%, and is only a 3-5% cost premium.
Beautiful winter morning, working from home, cold outside but mechanical heat recovery ventilation and tiny heat pump providing fresh warm air inside at 20C with CO2 levels around 500ppm, without opening windows, we really do need more #Passivhaus schools and workplaces. #Covidpic.twitter.com/03gQlUAa67
Another @charlesgrylls & Mike Whifield Passivhaus. Different aesthetic but some recurrent patterns that work. Vertical boarding more expensive than horizontal but clients did the painting. Doors and MVHR from @passivhausnews. Tree planting will soften it. pic.twitter.com/VtWGaxYhLN
Efforts by @AlexRowleyFife to make Passivhaus standards compulsory is essential if we are to meet climate targets, but big private housebuilders have been lobbying against it, as it will hit their margins. Sad that this Government has rolled over after all they said during COP26. https://t.co/E2o5Pv9dzl
So exciting to see The American Institute of Architects (AIA) endorsing #Passivhaus as a reliable tool for meeting @Arch2030 commitments in their latest @blueprintforbetter guide. Together we must now support & accelerate performa…https://t.co/WOMxjfcDVshttps://t.co/gq7yBtMHNl
