Walsh Construction Is Our Accelerator Partner of the Week

The six-story Hobson Place in Seattle building offers 177 apartments and achieved Passive House certification.

The latest firm to join the Passive House Accelerator community as an Accelerator Partner is Walsh Construction. The Pacific Northwest-based firm has constructed several commercial and residential Passive House projects like Hobson Place, a mixed-use supportive housing building in Seattle. They also implemented the PAE Living Building, which is a fully certified Living Building office building in downtown Portland. Walsh is proud to have two more Passive House projects in construction – Parkview - a Passive House tower for the Terwilliger Plaza Senior Living Community and the Marylhurst Commons affordable housing community for Mercy Housing NW - both in the Portland metro area.  By embracing a Passive House approach, these projects will provide healthy, comfortable and energy-efficient homes for seniors and families.  WALSH stresses the absolute highest levels of quality and safety in every project they build, while also fostering a collaborative approach that ensures owner goals for cost, schedule and sustainability are met.

With the Accelerator continuing to expand, Accelerator Partners help us with our mission of reaching new builders, developers, architects, and policymakers who want all the things associated with Passive House construction (lower energy bills, a continuous supply of filtered air, more durable construction), but may not know that there is already one building methodology that provides all these benefits.

If you want to learn how to become an Accelerator Partner, please email [email protected] to see how you can help us accelerate the wider adoption of passive design and construction.
