This 217-unit, 14-story residence is a NYSERDA Building of Excellence Demonstration Project, setting a new standard for sustainability and energy efficiency in affordable housing. Designed to seamlessly integrate with an existing senior residence, the project will create an amenity-rich, campus-style living environment for 367 residents while achieving energy savings that surpass typical new construction affordable housing developments. Key innovations include geothermal heating, cooling, and domestic hot water, as well as the potential integration of a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) facade system to help the building reach net zero.
