Digital Guidelines

This digital guidelines page is the foundation for the constant understanding and effective use of the Passive House Accelerator digital aesthetic. These guidelines will constantly mature and adapt while the new brand gets applied in various digital channels, mediums, and applications.

Website Blocks

User interface (UI) blocks (also known as patterns) are quite literally the building blocks for organizing and laying out your content on the various pages of your site. These blocks provide content editors with endless flexibility to facilitate the easiest and most aesthetically appealing way to communicate a message to the visitor. At the core, these patterns are designed with consistency, efficiency, and brand alignment in mind.

Typography

Heading Font – Druk Text

Like many typefaces, Druk has its roots in type-faces from the past: the sans serifs created in the 19th century onwards and popularised in the 20th century for expressive display typography. These were mainly used for posters and editorial design, and were often the loudest voices in the typographic spectrum. Unlike many new typefaces, Druk’s forms are inspired by the ways in which type was used in the past, rather than the way the typefaces themselves were drawn or cut.

Body Font – Inter

Inter UI is a typeface specially designed for user interfaces with a focus on high legibility of small-to-medium sized text on computer screens. The family features a tall x-height to aid in readability of mixed-case and lower-case text. Several OpenType features are provided as well, like contextual alternates that adjusts punctuation depending on the shape of surrounding glyphs, slashed zero for when you need to disambiguate “0” from “o”, tabular numbers, etc.

Monospaced Font – Anonymous Pro

Anonymous Pro is a family of four fixed-width fonts designed especially with coding in mind. It is inspired by Anonymous 9, a freeware Macintosh bitmap font developed in the mid-‘90s by Susan Lesch and David Lamkins, that was intended as a more legible alternative to Monaco, the fixed-width Macintosh system font.
