1. TUE: Tiny Mobile Passive House Office in Washington State

Bellingham, Washington is home to the smallest certified Phius project. This tiny Passive House office supports the work of [bundle] design studio, an architecture firm dedicated to high-performance design and community involvement. The project served as an educational opportunity for Passive House construction in the community, relied heavily on salvaged materials, and even has a composting toilet. On November 9, founder and principal Dan Welch will join the Construction Tech crew to dive into the details, process, and story of the tiny office. Get the Zoom Link here.

2. WED: Rowhome Landmark Passive House Retrofit

In this special installment of the Global Passive House Showcase, Passive House Accelerator founder and Baxt Ingui Principal Michael Ingui and John Mitchell from Bldgtyp join us November 10 to talk through one of Michael's favorite projects. The Willow Heights Passive House retrofit is a rowhome located in a landmark district in Brooklyn. Michael and John will geek out on the Passive House details that took this leaky historic home to Passive House performance. The retrofit included a two-story rear extension, an eight-foot cellar dig out creating a living space that does not feel underground, and a tiered rear yard connecting to a four-foot deck off the main level. 3. REGISTER: Building Performance Interactive Episode 2

The second episode of the Building Performance Interactive, "MMC - Offsite TF Construction from Start to Finish" will address modern methods of construction (MMC) and the significant role it plays in maximizing building performance and reducing carbon footprint, for more sustainable developments.

To illustrate this point, Mike, Ben and Hugh will visit the Ktf Keenan Timber Frame factory. John Keenan and Lawrence Taylor of Ktf will talk about the design, and the manufacturing process of most popular timber frame systems, providing a real perspective on how standardised designs can be incorporated into projects to achieve scale.
