1. TUE: Ubergreat Phkups & Lessons Learned with Sy Safi

On December 7, Sy Safi of Ubergreen Spaces + Homes joins us on Construction Tech Tuesday to talk through his journey of mainstreaming high-performance homes and buildings through best design and building practices using Passive House, Living Building Challenge, and the WELL Building Standard. On his 15+ year journey, Sy has focused on improving design, construction means and methods, development, prefab, modular, and more. 2. WED: Transition to ALL Passive House at Your Practice

Since 2007, Bronwyn Barry’s architectural practice, Passive House BB, has focused exclusively on Passive House projects. While a transition to 100% Passive House work might seem daunting, Bronwyn will reframe that narrative with helpful lessons learned from her own practice. Join us on December 8 for a dive into how to convince clients to go Passive, control costs, and most importantly deliver results without compromising design or profit. Something of a Passive House legend in North America, Bronwyn is a founding board member of The Passive House Network and Passive House California, organized and directed California’s first all-women construction crew for Habitat for Humanity, and is a senior policy fellow at New Buildings Institute. 3. THU: Building Performance Interactive Episode 3

In episode 3 (Thursday, December 9) of the Building Performance Interactive (our UK/Ireland-based Zoom series) the team will dive into waterproof breathable fabrics in low carbon EnerPHits at scale. The team will be joined by special guests Andrew Simmonds, CEO at AECB and Partner in Simmonds Mills Architects, and Tim Hulse, Passivhaus Champion at EcoVert Solutions. Register now.

4. NOW LIVE: Episode 64 of the Passive House Podcast

Bohemia Hookham is a registered architect and Certified Passive House Designer based in Melbourne, Australia and is playing a key role in the creation of one of Australia’s latest groundbreaking Passive House projects. Just North of the city of Melbourne the Glenroy Community Hub will be the first Passive House of its type in the country. Matthew Cutler-Welsh caught up with Bohemia to talk about how the inception of this project and some of the design challenges of adhering to the Passive House standard in such a versatile public building. Once completed, the community hub promises to be another great showcase of the emerging vernacular of Passive House in the Southern Hemisphere. Listen here.
