The Latest Issue of Passive House Accelerator Magazine Is Now Available

The spring 2023 issue of Passive House Accelerator magazine is officially out! In this issue, readers will find a study by Skylar Swinford and Zack Semke debunking some of the myths about the upfront carbon costs of high-performance building, Passive House news, Michael Ingui’s advice for building your first Passive House (see the video version here), eleven specific case studies that run the gamut of building type and location, and two pieces about the building science of Passive House (including Mark Attard’s essay about living through the 2021 Marshall Fire and the real-world benefits of a Passive House retrofit, as well as Lisa White’s article on grid-interactive efficiency buildings). Some of the case studies have already appeared on the site and focus on projects like ShowPass in Barcelona, Princeton University’s new Passive House student residences, Artisans Group’s latest in the Pacific Northwest, New York’s first all-electric sugar shack, and 79 King Street in Northampton, Mass.
